Prior to joining Fresh Thoughts, Maria worked at Ecologic Institute, an environmental policy consulting firm based in Berlin. There she supported a number of water-agriculture related projects while she completed a Master’s programme in Integrated Natural Resource at Humboldt University to Berlin. Her Master’s thesis analysed farmer acceptance towards the implementation of agri-environmental measures in northern Germany. She also has a B.Sc. in Natural Resources from the University of Vermont, USA. She is a native English speaker and is fluent in German, holding both U.S. and German citizenship.
